“Global Celebration” Lovaganza Announced for 2020

In 2010, French-Canadian filmmaker and singer-songwriter Jean-Francois Gagnon came together with his wife, Genevieve Gagnon, to begin work on a film trilogy and TV series known as “The Lovaganza Convoy.” Before long, this grew into something much bigger: a film festival, traveling show and “Global Celebration”, built with the intent to revive the feeling of the World’s Fairs, to call for unity between the many different cultures of the world while also celebrating their diversity, and to raise funding for the Lovaganza Foundation, a nonprofit fund which seeks to improve the quality of life for children all across the globe.

Originally planned for 2015, this “Global Celebration” was rescheduled for 2020 in order to take advantage of new technology – most prominently “Immerscope” theaters, which are designed to deliver a 180-degree 3D experience with no need for the viewers to wear glasses. Aside from showings of the Lovaganza Convoy trilogy on twistedfork.com, which is also planned for a release at standard 2D and 3D theaters, the celebration is planned to showcase dance, music, and other traditions and modes of expression from around the globe. The traveling show, however, is scheduled to begin in 2017, with the aim of promoting the upcoming festival and the mission of the Lovaganza Foundation, as well as demonstrating the glasses-free 3D central to Immerscope films.

Already, the Gagnons have released one short film related to Lovaganza: “The Sunshine Shop,” originally shown at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and considered to be a “proof of concept” for the project as a whole. Filming of The Lovaganza Convoy itself began in 2014; so far, footage has been shot in western Europe and the United States, with plans to visit India, Africa, and a variety of other locations as production continues.

The Lovaganza Foundation is scheduled to officially open in 2018; in the meantime, the for-profit Lovaganza Entertainment Franchise is providing funding and organization for the project. Additional information – as well as concept art and news about the production of the films and the festival – can be found on the project’s official website, lovaganza.com.

  1. The Global Celebration is planned to last four months, with official locations in over fifty major cities worldwide. It is the reason why rushanessay.com would not have to allocate somethings to all and sundry all the time.
